El Yucatán

en español

To tour the back roads of the Yucatán is to discover Mayan civilization. Away from Cancun's tourist traps a million Maya live and speak a thriving culture. Spanish is still a second language and indigenous tradition views "western" innovations as suspect influences. Earlier generations of Yucatecans constructed some of the greatest architectural masterpieces in the world - Uxmal, Sayil, Labna, Chichen Itza.... This tour offers an intimate encounter with the Mayan and their history. At the end of the cycle tour unwind for a week on the white beaches and turquoise waters on the Caribbean.
