Durban Declaration Rebuttal

Open Letter to:

Mr. Bill Clinton, President of the U.S.A
Mr. Gerhard Schröder, German Chancellor

We hereby request that respective apologies be made to President Thabo Mbeki for the signing of the "Durban Declaration" by your representatives Dr. Helene Gayle (USA) and Prof. Dr. Kurth (Germany).

On April 4th 2000, three months before the start of the International AIDS Conference in Durban (South Africa) the South African President Thabo Mbeki wrote a letter to the US President Bill Clinton and the German chancellor Gerhard Schröder. In his letter the South African President asked for co-operation in factual discussions to clarify obvious discrepancies in connection with the global AIDS phenomenon.

Under pressure from President Clinton, Dr. Helene Gayle from the CDC, as representative of the USA, attended the panel meeting of experts President Mbeki had organised a few days prior to the conference.

By signing the "Durban Declaration" both the US representative Dr. Gayle and Germany’s representative Prof. Reinhardt Kurth participated in the public defamation of President Mbeki. The Declaration was published in 6th of July 2000 in "Nature", and the signatories maintained that the widely publicised affirmations concerning "HIV and AIDS" are based on the highest scientific standards, a clear attempt to discredit Mr. Mbeki´s effort to clarify the issue.

US delegate Dr. Gayle´s offer of co-operation between the US health authorities and South Africa in new investigations to isolate the "HI-Virus" and to demonstrate the validity of the AIDS-Tests only confirms that she is fully aware of the non-existence today of any basic scientific data that might prove the existence of the HI-Virus, and - consequently – the validity of any test. Nevertheless, in spite of her own knowledge, she contradicts herself by signing the "Durban Declaration".

Prof. Dr. Rita Süssmuth, former President of the German Bundestag (the Parliament), as well as former Minister for Health with direct responsibility for the AIDS problem, admitted in an interview in Berlin on 23.6.1995 that she knew that the affirmation concerning the AIDS-infection lacked any scientific proof. This interview was repeatedly emitted by the "citizen's television" in Berlin. Nevertheless, on 11.8.1998 in front of Karl Krafeld, she denied both the interview and its contents.

The press officer of the prestigious Robert Koch-Institut (RKI; Berlin) admitted during a telephone conversation on 7.9.94 that there are no scientific proofs to support the affirmations concerning the AIDS-infection. This telephone call was confirmed in writing by the RKI´s Dr. Marcus on 20.9.94. Prof. Kurth is the president of the RKI. When he signed the "Durban Declaration" he was fully aware well of two fortuitous experiments in the ex-German Republic DDR and in German prisons that totally discard the hypothesis for the AIDS-infection.

In the DDR chemo-antibiotics did not exist; homosexual men did not use "sniffing drugs" (poppers). Straight after The Wall came down there were no positive test results. In the DDR, AZT was not administered and there were no deaths from AIDS. In a paper from 10.2.99 Prof. Kurth mentions only five cases of men who became infected in German prisons over the last fifteen years.

This alone amply demonstrates that what is commonly called AIDS cannot be an infectious disease in Germany. And that makes it practically impossible, scientifically, for AIDS to be an infectious disease in Africa or anywhere else.

At the ceremony to honour Dr. Robert Gallo (since 23.4.84 till 1994) considered the discoverer of the AIDS-Virus) with the highest German decoration in scientific medicine, the Paul Ehrlich-Preis on 14.3.99, neither Prof. Kurth nor the Paul Ehrlich-Institut, responsible for the registration of the so-called HIV-tests were able to provide scientific proof for "HIV" nor for the validity of the tests. Prof. Kurth knows full well that HIV has never been proven "according to the highest scientific standards". Nevertheless, he signed the "Durban Declaration".

In his letter of 3.4.2000 to President Clinton and Chancellor Schröder (to be found at www.virusmyth.com) Mr. Mbeki compares the way AIDS dissidents are treated in the industrial nations with life under apartheid.

On 17.5.2000 Karl Krafeld, President of the Association "Wissenschaft, Medizin und Menschenrechte e.V." (Science, Medicine and Human Rights), referred to Mr. Mbeki´s letter and presented the German Chancellor with facts which supported Mr. Mbeki´s views. At the Chancellor's request the German Ministry of Health (Dr. Niemer) on 29.6.2000 merely recommended him to consult "scientific circles and experts".

Karl Krafeld´s encounters with various scientific institutions and individual experts provided startling replies such as: "The claims concerning HIV and AIDS are undisputed among experts and therefore no scientific references are needed".

Or, when Karl Krafeld asked to see a published photo of the HI Virus which he had been unable to find in anything published by Dr. Luc Montagnier and Dr. Robert Gallo, Prof. Kurth from the RKI answered: "These photos are to be found in the papers published by Drs. Montagnier and Gallo".

In the last few years, lies about the isolated HI virus have been added to by the German Parliament, police and even a judge. The latter, judge Prause from Dortmund, was quoted as having said: "it is totally immaterial if someone has lied" and it does not matter "if mistakes have been made in AIDS policies".

Since AIDS appeared on the scene there have been innumerable quotes like those above and an infinity of incidents throughout the world which can only be called anecdotal by anyone who bothers to study AIDS with an open and objective mind.

In 1986 the WHO radically changed the definition of AIDS. According to the CDC the criteria for AIDS since 1981 was: "an illness that occurs without prior immune suppressing illnesses and/or therapies". This definition was scrapped. Since 1986 the side effects of AZT have become AIDS defining illnesses in themselves! The CDC accepted this new definition of AIDS. Up till 1986 not a single case of AIDS that conforms with the first, 1982, definition of the CDC, had been described and published scientifically.

In the last years there has been ample proof that the various Health authorities in many countries know that the affirmations concerning AIDS are mere speculations, and that not only in Germany and the U.S.A., but also in Austria, Chequia, Spain, Sweden, England, South Africa and many others.

In the light of the absence of any scientific proof for the existence of the HI virus and thus for the validity of the tests, the attack against President Mbeki by the scientists who signed the "Durban Declaration" has to be judged as a clear endorsement of the correctness of the "Mbeki-theory".
